Circle Chart Music Awards 2023 sukses dilaksanakan di KSPO Dome Seoul pada hari Sabtu malam (18/02/2023) waktu setempat dengan MC Doyoung NCT and Miyeon (G)I-DLE.
Circle Chart Music Awards berlangsung untuk pertama kalinya sejak rebranding dengan nama baru tahun lalu (sebelumnya bernama Gaon Chart Awards).
Penghargaan ini ditentukan oleh pencapaian komersial atas lagu dan album berdasarkan tangga lagu Circle, dan data K-pop Global Chart dimasukkan sebagai kriteria penilaian untuk pertama kalinya tahun ini.
Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, penghargaan Artist of the Year dibagi menjadi dua kategori: musik digital dan album fisik.
Penghargaan musik digital diberikan kepada 12 lagu dengan unduhan dan streaming digital tertinggi setiap bulan dari Desember 2021 hingga November 2022, sedangkan penghargaan album fisik diberikan kepada empat album dengan penjualan tertinggi untuk setiap kuartal selama periode yang sama.
BTS meraih penghargaan terbanyak tahun ini dengan 5 piala termasuk Album of the Year (Physical), disusul oleh BLACKPINK dan IVE yang masing-masing mendapat 4 dan 3 piala.
